The HOC race is an annual event in Boston that takes place in October and draws international competitors and spectators. It is the largest two day regatta in the world and provides many Bostonians the opportunity to spend a weekend showing thousands of spectators and other competitors the skills that had been honed throughout the year or years. The experience level of competitors range from Olympians to novice rowers and the opportunity to witness the skills of some of the world’s best rowers is apparent upon entering the Reunion Village. The regatta of 2007 was the first event I had the opportunity to attend and I look forward to many more.
